In 2000, WIPO’s member states designated April 26, the day on which the WIPO Convention came into force in 1970, as World Intellectual Property Day, with the aim of increasing general understanding of Intellectual Property.
World Intellectual Property Day on April 26, 2025, offers a unique opportunity to join others around the globe to consider how Intellectual Property such as patents, trademarks, industrial design or copyright play in encouraging innovation and creativity. This campaign will promote development and support creators across various fields.
The theme of World Intellectual Property Day 2025 is “IP and music: Feel the beat of IP”.
